Susan Sellan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from York University ('85), and also holds a Diploma (with Honours)  as a graduate of the Interior Design program at Humber College ('97).  She is a Member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (Retired) (ARIDO) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), and holds an active National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) licence to practice interior design, but is now retired from the field, to literally, and figuratively (!), "focus" more on her interest in Photography.
Susan has always had a special interest in photography, and particularly so since her art and architecture studies at Humber College.  In later years she has dedicated more time to her passion for learning photography and creating beautiful images.  She was an active volunteer photographer from 2013-2017, shooting sports action for Upper Canada College (UCC) private school (4 years), in Toronto and loves the excitement and energy being courtside or on the field at competitive sporting events.  Her work was frequently published in media publications issued by Upper Canada College and as well as on their website. In addition to other photo books, Susan created a beautiful photo book memory for Upper Canada College entitled "Class of 2017 - Memories of UCC" which not only incorporated all of her own photos, but also portrayed her strong graphic abilities and love of design.  She was deeply involved with the creation of annual video productions involving her action photos commemorating the end of each academic year at UCC, and had a similar role at Bayview Glen School for a number of years, prior to UCC.
Susan is always anxious to take her photography skills to the next level, and is never afraid of a challenge.  She always loves to be on the sidelines of exciting sports action, but she also loves to travel where she continues to explore her creativity and shoot beautiful scenery, streetscapes and architecture.
Susan is a past member of the Toronto Camera Club in Toronto, a former member The Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, The Canadian Ski Patrol System, as well as being a former Law Clerk in Commercial Real Estate of a large downtown Toronto firm.
She continues to utilize all of her past adventures, experiences and education, to inform her eye for beauty, composition and design through her lens.
